Wicked Musical

Wicked explores the Wicked Witch of the West from the famous movie The Wizard of Oz. The witch is known as Elphaba Thropp. She was a misunderstood woman whose behavior was a reaction against a wizard's corrupt government rule. Wicked shows her relationship with the beautiful and ambitious Galinda Upland, who ultimately becomes Glinda the Good Witch of the North. Throughout Wicked the musical, their friendship is strained because of personality conflicts, very different viewpoints, rivalry over the same love-interest and Elphaba's eventual turn to wickedness.
